REGISTRATION FEE

ALL House/Local and Competitive Players WILL pay a base registration fee. Registration Fees cover ice allocation, referees, timekeepers, OWHA and Hockey Canada Insurance for players and team officials, association overhead and administration costs, the use of game jerseys U9B, U11B and up, and offsets the cost of U7, U9HL and U11HL jerseys and one exhibition game.

COMPETITIVE FEE

ALL Competitive Players WILL pay a competitive fee upon accepting a competitive team placement. Competitive Fees cover increased ice allocation, playdown and playoff ice, additional referee costs, OWHL league registration and Provincial bond fees, an additional exhibition game and additional association administration and overhead costs.

TEAM FEE

ALL House/Local and Competitive Players WILL be asked to pay a "TEAM FEE" to their team account to cover additional costs that will be incurred by the team during the season. Team fees are set, collected and managed by the team manager, and are separate from and in addition to the Registration Fee and/or Competitive Fee payable to COLGHA. Sponsorship and/or Team Fundraising can help with this extra team cost, which is determined by the team(s) each season. Team Fees, which are determined by the team (coaches, manager, families) fund additional exhibition games, extra team activities, practice jerseys, team swag, tournaments, team equipment and admin costs such as bank fees, thank you cards, sponsor plaks etc.

FUNDRAISING- Families WILL be asked to participate in our Annual Fundraiser.

$200.00 Association Fundraiser Deposit

  • Each player in the association will be responsible for selling at least one book of tickets for the annual Association Fundraiser. Each book of 10 tickets is valued at $200 ($20/ticket).
  • At the time of registration, each player will commit to a $200 deposit for her book of 10 tickets.
  • Families will recoup these funds through the sale of the book of tickets and subsequently, keep those funds, up to the cost of one book of tickets ($200).
  • Players will receive their book of tickets for the Association Fundraiser very early in the season. The third and final payment on November 1, 2024 covers the $200 Fundraiser Booklet, thereby providing all families ample time to sell their 10 tickets and collect the funds necessary to make that final payment.
  • It is understood that some players will have difficulty selling their book of tickets, so please reach out to teammates who often will be able to sell more than one book of tickets.
  • In all the years we’ve had this association fundraiser, we haven’t been aware of any issues selling the equivalent of one book of tickets per player on each team.
  • Additional books of tickets can be requested through your Team Manager once all players on your team have sold their full book of tickets.
  • Prizes to be determined.
  • The association-wide fundraiser:
    • helps COLGHA maintain a low registration fee
    • provides opportunities for skill development programs
    • funds the purchase of association-wide equipment (pucks, jerseys, goalie equipment, etc.)
    • helps the association provide player assistance to families in need
    • provides individual player and team photos
    • allows our teams to celebrate the season at a year-end banquet and awards night
