Senior Lightning is an 18+ open age division. COLGHA is looking to create a fun, fast, competitive environment for those who aren't done playing at a high level! Our goal for all Senior players is to provide an opportunity for them to continue playing hockey at a competitive level, as well as engage them within our Lightning organization.
Our young players need mentors, female hockey players that they can look up to, and access to female players of all ages. We strongly encourage our Senior players to get involved in our organization, whether it’s becoming an official, volunteering with a team or fundamentals program or simply being a positive role model among our Lightning players. For further information and FAQ page, visit our WEBSITE.
U18HL, U11B, U13B, U15B, U18B, U18BB teams have ice times starting Sept 3rd. Please visit our WEBSITE ORGANIZATION CALENDAR for your schedule. Visit it often for further scheduling updates.
ALL U9 players are encouraged to attend the U9 Pre Skates on Sept 4 and Sept 7th.
ALL U9HL players that are not trying out for U9B MUST attend Evaluations Sept 18, Sept 20 and Sept 22 in order to be placed on a team. Only U9 players that have purchased the U9 tryout package may attend the U9 Tryouts.
All pre skates, (tryouts) and evaluation dates have been posted to our WEBSITE ORGANIZATION CALENDAR
ALL U11, U13 and U15 HL players are encouraged to attend their division Pre Skates AND Evaluations. COLGHA has created a draft system to determine balanced teams this season. Independent evaluators will be assigned to each age division, one Head Evaluator will oversee team placements. If you have questions regarding the process please reach out to our Director of HL, Rob Cranston at colgha.ll@gmail.com
ALL Pre Skates and Evaluation dates and times have been posted to our WEBSITE ORGANIZATION CALENDAR, please check it often as changes can occur.
Whether you are a new or experienced Gal-Tender, we encourage you to join our summer goalie clinics. Dates are Monday August 19th 5-7pm and Monday August 26th 4-7pm. Please reach out to our Director of Goalie Development Kate Read-Maney, lightninggoaltending@gmail.com for further information and details regarding which hour your gal should attend.
Any delay in VSC Submission will result in DENIED ROSTERS and an extreme delay in season startup. If you are thinking of becoming a volunteer for the 24/25 hockey season, we strongly encourage you to begin and complete this process over the summer.
If you are unsure what year of your VSC you are in and think it may still be valid, please reach out to Rob Cranston, colgha.ll@gmail.com
All the best, COLGHA
