Wondering what to do with your spare time now that hockey is over? Hopefully, your kids are enjoying the great outdoors, playing soccer, rugby, baseball and whatever else they can get their hands on. And it’s not just the kids that need a break from the rink!

Brampton Canadettes Tournament

Congratulations to our Lightning teams that brought home Gold from the Brampton Canadettes Tourney, Easter Weekend. Congrats U15 White and U13 Blue defending champs! WTG all Lightning on your final tourney showing.

OWHA Provincial Championships

Congratulations to our three Lightning teams that attended the OWHA Provincial Championships April 12-14th. U18B and Senior C both had excellent showings and gave it their all, we’re very proud of their representation of COLGHA. Huge congrats to U15B for bringing home the Bronze Medal, defeating Bancroft Jets 3-2 in triple OT, after getting a goal called back in the 5th period. What a game!!

Pre-Skates and Tryouts for U11, U13, U15, U18

PRE SKATES/TRYOUT DATES, TIMES & LOCATION

U9 and Senior Tryout packages will open late May for Fall Tryouts, all general Registration will open late MAY. Registration information will be updated shortly.

COLGHA will host Two U18 Competitive Teams and One U18 Local League Team for the 2024/25 Season based on our projected registration numbers and 2023/24 season standings for all U15 and U18 teams. U18 is a three year division and it is very important to COLGHA that we continue to provide ALL girls the opportunity to play hockey in their own community, at the level in which they will develop and thrive.

We encourage all eligible U18 players to try out!!

Lightning Beach Banquet

The Lightning Banquet is almost here!! SATURDAY MAY 11TH at the Great Northern Exhibition. Doors open at 5pm, presentations start at 5:30pm.

PLEASE RSVP to your team manager ASAP regarding the total number of guests, and whether you are bringing dessert and/or drinks for your team table. Please be mindful of the number of guests you are bringing and remember that while we would love to have all siblings and family members attend, we simply cannot accommodate everyone. Our priority must be the players and staff/volunteers. Don’t forget Lisa Marie’s Shaved Ice will be set up and come dressed in your best family friendly beach attire! Further information was provided by your manager, please reach out if you have questions.

Summer 3 v 3

Please visit our WEBSITE for information on our Summer 3v3 Program. The Lightning Summer Development Program is an optional program for ALL registered Lightning players.

It is a 9-week program, Wednesdays July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7, 14, 21, 28th. Cost $125

You are not expected to attend every skate, it's SUMMER!

Annual General Meeting

COLGHA AGM is booked for Wednesday June 12th, 7pm at Central Arena. Please plan to attend! If you would like to join Executive please make your intentions known in writing prior to the AGM, send all inquiries to collingwoodgirlshockey@outlook.com

OWHA Respect in Sport for Parents

COLGHA strongly recommends ALL parents complete the OWHA Respect in Sport for Parents prior to the 2024/25 season.

We also ask that families review our updated Code of Conduct and Player/Parent Contract located under the About Us section on our website. As we move forward in our growth it is more important than ever that we continue to respectfully represent the Lightning organization and uphold the values, mission and vision that has made COLGHA so successful.
