Here we grow again!

As the girls' and women's game soars in popularity, so does the Collingwood Lightning Organization. This upcoming season we are pleased to announce the creation of A-level programming in four separate age divisions.

It is with optimism and a sense of caution that the development committee and Lightning board have chosen this path. This upcoming hockey season, we will offer tryout packages for 10 competitive teams:

U9B

U11A

U11B/BB

U13A

U13B/BB

U15A

U15B/BB

U18A

U18B/BB

Senior A/B

Additionally, we will continue to offer a Women's Senior C competitive team and a FULL complement of Local League teams ranging from U7 to U18.

Our Local League has been a dominant presence for years, consistently demonstrating the strength and depth of our grassroots programming.

As the girls’ game evolves, it is essential that we evolve with it. This includes creating pathways that challenge, inspire, and support players at every stage of their development while strengthening the future of girls’ hockey.

We will always covet our Grassroots Programming and understand that this is paramount to any competitive endeavours that we may undertake. The Bauer First Shift Program, as well as Winter Fundamentals, remain at the heart of what makes the Lightning Organization thrive. We introduce the game of hockey to well over 100 girls each season and will continue to do so.

Coach applications for the 2026-2027 season are NOW OPEN. COACH APPLICATION LINK HERE

Competitive/Rep Applications:

February 28th: Application submission deadline
March 16th - 30th: We appreciate all applications; however, in-person interviews will be arranged with shortlisted candidates.
Coaching positions will be announced no later than April 15th.

Local League Applications:
