The Collingwood Girls Hockey Association is excited to partner with Bauer and Hockey Canada’s First Shift Program to introduce girls to the game we love!
If you have a daughter aged 5-10 years, new to hockey, and she wants to have FUN, build FRIENDSHIPS, and be part of a TEAM, please visit FIRST SHIFT PROGRAM to learn more.
The NHL/NHLPA First Shift program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families by offering a low-cost entry program to hockey.
This 6 week Lightning-Bauer partnership is open to girls, between the ages of 5 and 10 years old, who have never previously enrolled in minor hockey within Canada. The equipment fitting night is set for Thursday October 22nd, 2026. Location TBD.
For only $299, girls will receive a full set of brand-new Bauer hockey equipment, including stick and skates, followed by 6 weeks on ice instruction with Lightning Volunteers! Sessions will take place on Fridays at 5:30 pm Central Park Arena, Collingwood. Exact dates after equipment fitting TBA.
