Thank you for your support and positive attitudes during this very challenging hockey season start up.
Thank you to our executive, coaches, managers, trainers, bench staff and den mothers. It is safe to say that without this commitment from our volunteers, the girls would not be back on the ice. As many facilities shut down around us or cannot open at all, it is a privilege to continue our operations.
Please continue to follow our protocols and assume responsibilities on behalf of your Lightning player.
A Few Important Items to Note
-Mouthguards are MANDATORY for all ice times.
-Arrive with Full water bottles that are clearly marked with the players name. Absolutely no sharing.
Pre Ice Check In
-Players must arrive 10 minutes before Ice, NOT earlier.
-Check in with Lightning Staff at the entrance
-Each player must have RSVP and COVID online form signed through RAMP app.
RAMP App
-Managers will be sending emails to assist you with this app. Please take a moment to become familiar with it.
-Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are having trouble with the RAMP App.
Spectators
-As of Wednesday Oct 21st, we will allow (as per the Town's policy), ONE spectator per player on a trial basis.
-Parents MUST add the spectator on the RAMP App. Instructions are available through your team manager.
-Masks and physical distancing are Mandatory.
-Spectators must remain in the same section as their player. And exit from the same section.
-Concerning Section A, spectators are not allowed to stand near or behind the players bench.
Next Phase of Play
-November 7th-22nd. Informal 3v3 or 4v4 game play will begin on weekends within your players current age division.
-November 28th-Dec 20th, Formal 4v4 game play will begin on weekends, (combined ages, small teams, refs, timekeepers and game jerseys)
-Mid week practices with current age division will continue.
Fundamentals
-Currently no update, we are waiting to find out if Eddie Bush will open.
Once again, please be kind and patient. Our volunteers are doing their very best to follow changing information, updates and protocols. It is exhausting and can be extremely frustrating for all of us.
Our priority is the health and safety of all Lightning families. Our goal is to continue playing hockey, and we are doing everything we can to make sure our girls #stayintheplay!!
All the best, COLGHA
